In WW2 ers Sears (and, I'm sure, those from other chains, too) I've whole pages devoted to various brands of liquid stockings that were available at the time, and always find myself feeling very grateful when the topic of them arises, as those of us today no longer have to resort to such measures (or take my grandma's lead in the 40s and use gravy browning on her calves!).
